On Sunday ,the EWIZZ team of David, Adrian, Jean, Chanté, Lucy and Andy, offered rides on zero emission EWIZZ electric scooters to teams competing in the Openstreets AtoB challenge. This WWF sponsored event challenges team to travel from point A to Point B in the shortest possible time and with the least carbon footprint. This year the race comes to Cape Town with the teams travelling from Cape Town centre to Langa. They had many options including walking, cycling, electric cars, taxis, mini-buses,buses, trains and EWIZZ electric scooters.  The teams are given carbon emission values for each type of transport available at each check point and need to work out which will be the best or them to win the race!

EWIZZ charged their electric scooters from their Solar charing point at their offices and so the teams could claim completely zero emissions for their journey. The Openstreets AtoB challenge is raising awareness of the emissions associated with the different type of transport we use.

“Decarbonising our economy and society is a critical challenge facing us all and EWIZZ electric scooters offer a convenient, fast, low cost and zero emission solution. It’s a win win for people and our planet.” said, Andy Le May, Founder of EWIZZ.

  1. If everyone who drives alone to work took an electric scooter like those produced by EWIZZ instead of their gas-gussling space-hogging four wheeler vehicle the planet and all on it would be less stressed.
